Investing expertise in a food bank.

About 30% of the Argentinian province of Jujuy’s 700,000-person population doesn’t have access to the food they need. The Food Bank of Jujuy does its best to get food to the hungry, but the donation and distribution process is logistically complex. A missed step means someone may go without a meal. That’s why IBM’s Corporate Service Corps team went to Jujuy to work directly with the Food Bank to design an app that allows the Food Bank’s workers, donors and beneficiaries to easily communicate, along with a plan to increase awareness. And it looks like these improvements are working as it’s enabling them to meet their goal of tripling the number of people they serve each month.

See how they did it->
